Portland Community Rowing Association back on the water thanks to some help

Portland Community Rowing Association is being loaned use of Waynflete's fleet of rowing boats after losing all but three of their own in a sudden downburst last Tuesday, causing an estimated $100,000 in damages.

PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER Maine)-- While heavy fog caused the Portland Community Rowing Association to cancel Tuesday's early morning practice, the non-profit group once again has access to boats thanks to some help from Waynflete. The private school is loaning their fleet to the community group after a downburst destroyed all but a few of the PCRA's special row boats last Tuesday, costing them upwards of $100.000 in damages.

The association is now raising money to replace and repair their fleet of rowing boats, they've started a GoFundMe account.
