BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Police say a pedestrian was intentionally hit by a car Sunday evening while playing Pokemon GO.

Police say 37-year-old man was playing Pokemon GO with a group of friends before getting hit in Bangor at the intersection of Hammond and Franklin streets.

Witnesses told police there was a verbal argument between the pedestrian and the driver before the driver hit the man and then drove away. Police say the man was standing in the crosswalk when he was hit.

Police have arrested 36-year-old Jeannie Chapman of Brewer. Chapman was taken to the Penobscot County Jail charged with aggravated assault, which is a class B crime.
