(NEWS CENTER Maine) -- A young Mainer may have a future as the Ed McMahon to Todd Gutner's Johnny Carson.
McMahon made a career by announcing Carson's name at the start of every episode of "The Tonight Show."
Todd's weather forecasts on the MORNING REPORT don't usually get such a rousing introduction. But that changed on Thursday, June 14.
Before launching into his predictions, Todd was treated to the sound of his own name from the voice of one of his biggest fans. The video was sent to him via Twitter from Greg Hird. He recorded his son saying, "Todd Gut-nuh" in an adorably thick accent.
Greg said Todd is his son's favorite weatherman, and they enjoy waking up to watch him each morning.
