RAVE 'N' RAGE | Parking infraction

Some of the performers who caught Xander Nelson's attention this week include Eric Bettencourt, Abby McCarthy and the entire lineup of the Old Port Festival

PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- No parking is no excuse for a no show on the MORNING REPORT.

Xander Nelson still delivered his weekly Rave 'N' Rage music showcase on Thursday morning in spite of his automotive affliction.

A cameraman usually facilitates the segment by establishing a live connection between the NEWS CENTER Maine studio and the WCYY radio station where Xander works as a disc jockey. But when the cameraman showed up on Thursday, his regular parking spot was blocked by construction leaving him nowhere to set up his equipment.

At a moment's notice, Xander rushed across Portland to the NEWS CENTER Maine studio and hosted his segment in person. Here are the performances that he highlighted:

THURSDAY, JUNE 7

Eric Bettencourt

8 p.m. at One Longfellow Square in Portland

FRIDAY, JUNE 8

Xander Nelson, JanaeSound & Cape Cannons

SATURDAY, JUNE 9

Abby McCarthy EP Release Party

7:30 p.m. at the Bangor Arts Exchange Ballroom

SUNDAY, JUNE 10

Old Port Festival

12:00 p.m. in downtown Portland
