1. HARTFORD MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER IN COURT FRIDAY

Rondon Athayde was charged with the death of his long time girlfriend, Ana Cordiero in Hartford. Cordiero was found unresponsive in the home she shared with Athayde and their two young children. Athayde is being held in the Oxford County Jail.

2. PORTLAND POLICE WARN OF EMAIL THREAT SCAM

Portland Police say a number of businesses were sent bomb threat emails Thursday. Police say you should not respond to the threatening emails, and instead immediately alert police.

3. JUDGE DENIES ACTON WOMAN OF PLEA CHANGE

A judge denied Kandee Weyland's request to change her plea to not guilty. Weyland is charged in the stabbing death of her ex-husband, Scott Weyland. A judge is allowing the defense time to review new evidence presented by the prosecution.

4. FEDERAL JUDGE DENIES POLIQUIN'S RANKED-CHOICE CHALLENGE

A federal judge has denied Representative Bruce Poliquin's ranked-choice voting challenge. Poloquin took action after he was defeated by Democrat Jared Golden in November. Poliquin claimed the election was not fair or constitutional.

5. FRIDAY IS THE DEADLINE FOR HOLIDAY SHIPPING

Friday is the deadline for most companies to ship in time for Christmas. There are alternatives, but they will likely be pricey to guarantee packages arrive in time.
