AUGUSTA (AP) - The director of the LePage administration's Office of Policy and Management has resigned and all but one member of the office has been reassigned to other state agencies.

The Portland Press Herald reports the LePage administration didn't announce Jonathan LaBonte's April 10 departure. A spokeswoman said the administration doesn't publicize every resignation.

The departure came a month after LaBonte was named in his capacity as former mayor of Auburn, along with multiple other public officials and agencies, in a notice in March concerning a possible sexual misconduct lawsuit against former Oxford County Sheriff Wayne Gallant.

LaBonte declined to comment on the lawsuit or his resignation. He said Tuesday he was looking to move on in his career and spend more time with family.
