Bullet fired through the window of a Lewiston home, suspects arrested

Lewiston police are investigating a Friday night shooting that injured one woman.

LEWISTON, Maine — Lewiston police say they are investigating a shooting at an apartment at 124 College Street that injured one woman. It happened Friday night before 10 p.m.

The woman's name is not being released however she was treated and released from Central Maine Medical Center.

According to the Sun Journal, a shot was fired into the apartment.

Police say they have arrested 22-year-old Jordan Bunting and a 15-year-old juvenile in connection to this incident. Both are charged with elevated aggravated assault and theft of a firearm. Police say the firearm was stolen in Auburn.

Bunting faces additional charges of forgery, and failure to give a correct name and date of birth. He initially told police his name was Brandon Santos. Bunting was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail where police say he's been uncooperative.

The juvenile suspect was taken to Long Creek Youth Development Center.
