Despite the best efforts of NEWS CENTER Maine's Cory Froomkin, the spinning bear carnival ride at the 2018 La Kermesse Festival in Biddeford would not awaken from its hibernation

The festival kicked off with a party at Mechanics Park Thursday night. St. Louis Field in Biddeford will have much more through Sunday. A full schedule can be found on the festival website.
