The man charged with kidnapping 15-year-old Abigail Hernandez is due in Court Tuesday at 1 p.m. as more details emerge about what happened in the nine months since her disappearance.

34-year-old Nathaniel E. Kibby has been charged with one count of felony kidnapping for knowingly confining Hernandez with a purpose to commit offense against her. Kibby was arrested just after 12 p.m. on Monday at his Brookside Drive home in Gorham, New Hampshire without incident, according to police.

Our media partners at NECN spoke with a friend of Hernandez who said that that the teen had been locked inside an orange shipping container behind Kibby's home.

"He's been called crazy Nate… always told the girls to stay away from that trailer," one neighbor told NECN when asked about Kibby.

"It's hard to believe. If she would have been there, we are close. You would have thought we would have heard something," the neighbor said.

Abigail returned to her home in North Conway after vanishing on her way back from school on Oct. 9, 2013.

Anyone with information about Kibby or happenings at his home since Oct. 9, 2013 at asked to call New Hampshire State Police at 603-271-3636.
