Tired of whining about wine over the holidays?

Here is a selection of wines from bubbling with blueberries to hearty reds with cherry flavors. All for under $25.

Maia Gosselin has suggestions of wines to choose from over the holidays. From bubbles to flat reds that will tickle your tonsils with tannins. These choices run the gambit without breaking the bank.

Bluet Sparkling Wine from Maine – it’s blue, but not sweet, even though 2#s of blueberries go into each bottle. That's a lot of blueberries.

Bourgogne Blanc…French for white Chardonnay but this is so much more than just any old Chard. Full-bodied but not heavy. Notes of honey, butter and spice.

Pasqua 11 Minutes ...The eleven minutes is the time the wine has sat on the skins. Which gives the pink hue. Easy drinking, this pink wine, and will go with the white meat & stand up to dark.

Gamay from the Loire, not a Beaujolais but the same grape. Black fruit, a little minerality and spice. An excellent match with turkey and cranberry sauce.

Averaen Pinot Noir: the classic go to pick for many – from The Willamette Valley in Oregon. Can't really miss with wines from this area of the country. Rich, fruity and earthy.

Siellac Prosseco...Buy a case of this wine and keep two bottles open on the table at all times. This is an all day drinker. Must have for those heavy political discussions with Uncle Francis.
