Three Maine restaurants worth a visit—and you may not know any of them

There are many secret restaurants in Maine. Joe Ricchio will take you to them.

(NEWS CENTER Maine) — Joe Ricchio wants to have a word or two with anyone who thinks the only places to get a great meal in Maine are, say, Portland or Kennebunkport or Camden.

Ricchio, the food editor of “Down East” magazine and one of the hosts and creators of the web series “Food Coma TV,” takes enormous pleasure these days in finding restaurants that no New York-based food writer has ever heard of, much less set foot in, and spreading the good word about them.

He’s got three recommendations this month. If you want to hit each of them, get ready to put hundreds of miles on the car. And a cautionary note: it might be best not to watch this interview while hungry.
