PORTLAND, Maine — Daren Worcester was at a retirement party for his father-in-law when he was inspired to write a book.
At first, it was so that Worcester could help preserve his father-in-law's memories of 34 years in the Maine Warden Service, but he was encouraged to speak with other wardens from his generation.
The result was a collection of hilarious, difficult, and sometimes terrifying stories in "Open Season: True Stories of the Maine Warden Service."
As a thank you to the wardens who contributed, Worcester is hoping to raise money for the Maine Game Warden Foundation. You can find out more information here.
