Lara Tupper is an author, jazz musician, and educator. She teaches creative writing. She also sings and writes music. Her husband Bobby Sweet, sings, writes music, plays guitar and the two have made a life out of music together.
Steeped in jazz and singer/songwriter tradition, they weave the ancient melodies into a tapestry of complications that sound so easy. It's not easy to do what they do. But they do it so well you will be convinced.
But don't take my word for it. They are playing tonight at the Opera House in Boothbay, where Lara grew up. And they are both releasing a cd. It's a Dual Album Release Celebration. Doors open at 6:30 and the show starts at 7.
