The Public Theatre in Lewiston is closing out their season with a production of "Crossing Delancey."
The show is about a grandmother (Bubbie) who wants to see her granddaughter (Izzy) get married before she dies. It's a romantic comedy.
Bubbie's matchmaker finds a fit, but it's not exactly who Izzy has in mind.
The play touches on family and individual identity, love and laughter. The cast is made up of actors with some serious comedy chops and have found that rehearsal laughter has lead to some unique moments that inform this production.
