Sami Stevens is a singer from Maine with jazz chops and great pipes.

She's also a student of R&B and soul music. She's performed in such lofty places as Fenway Park, Brooklyn Bowl and the 207 studio.

She's opened for diverse acts like folk singer Greg Brown and hip hop MC Talib Kweli. And she's worked with Grammy nominees, experimental artists and a band that plays music for pretend Italian movies from the 1970s.

You can catch her on Monday, Dec. 19th at Slate's in Hallowell and Tuesday, Dec. 20th at the Woodford's Congregational Church in Portland. That show is a fundraiser.
