PORTLAND, Maine — Fat Knuckle Freddy has been riffing on an old cigar box guitar for years; just jamming away is one of his favorite things to do.
His latest album is something he's been working on for nearly five years; not because he couldn't seem to finish writing, but because he couldn't find the perfect instrument for it.
He found it: a national resonator guitar. This is his third, but the other two just never sounded right.
