BANGOR, Maine — The Bangor Police Department has located the 11-year-old girl who went missing Tuesday afternoon.
According to Sergeant Wade Betters, police found Sylvia Wade safe around 6:45 p.m. on May 14.
The young girl had reportedly run away earlier in the day around 1:45 p.m. When police responded to the area of 1012 Union Street to try to find her, they sent out a public notice for help.
The Bangor Police Department says they would like to thank the public for their assistance.
