PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Darleen’s Subs & Pizza in Portsmouth, New Hampshire now has an unwanted drive-thru after a crazy New Year's Eve incident.

Portsmouth officials say 50-year-old Aaron J. Marconi ended his night by crashing into Darleen's with his 2003 Chevy pickup. Police say a 'good-samaritan' held Marconi at gunpoint until police arrived on scene.

According to police, Marconi crashed into several vehicles before ending his journey at Darleen's.

Marconi is charged with possession of a narcotic drug, driving while intoxicated, criminal threatening and four counts of conduct after the crashes. Police said the narcotic was heroin.

Portsmouth Sgt. Kuffer Kaltenborn told the Portsmouth Herald, “When Good Samaritan No. 2 [an Uber driver] saw that Marconi was trying to back into the driver blocking him, he told the driver to get out of the way and held his gun until we arrived.”

Marconi was admitted to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for undisclosed medical reasons. Police said was bailed from his hospital room and released on personal recognizance bail.

Marconi is scheduled for arraignment on Friday, January 11th.
