Wanted: Suspect charged with murder after man found dead inside crashed vehicle in south Houston

Police are searching for 44-year-old Rodolfo Hinojosa who may be driving a silver or gray Chevrolet Tahoe with Texas license plate LFF-9239.

HOUSTON — Houston police have charged a suspect with murder after a man was found shot to death inside a crashed vehicle Saturday morning.

Police are still searching for 44-year-old Rodolfo Hinojosa, who may be driving a silver or gray Chevrolet Tahoe with Texas license plate LFF-9239.

The 38-year-old victim was just a few blocks from his home in south Houston when he crashed into a tree around 2:30 a.m. in the 10800 block of Nellsfield Lane.

Neighbors reported hearing three of four gunshots and seeing the victim get into his vehicle then driving off, police said.

Investigators are trying to figure out if the man was injured before or after getting into his truck.

The victim's name hasn't been released.

It's not clear if he knew his killer.
