The Chocolate Lovers' Fling

Be a part of The Chocolate Lovers' Fling, which invites 13 of the best chocolatiers in York and Cumberland counties to create their most delicious chocolate desserts in support of SARSSM, Sexual Response Services of Southern Maine.

SOUTH PORTLAND (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- The Chocolate Lovers’ Fling invites 13 of the best chocolatiers in York and Cumberland counties to create their most delicious chocolate desserts in support of SARSSM, Sexual Response Services of Southern Maine.

Each year, The Fling attracts hundreds of chocolate lovers and SARSSM supporters helping to making the Fling one of SARSSM’s largest fundraiser and providing much needed funding to support the critical services they provide to thousands throughout southern Maine.

This year’s Fling will be held at Sable Oaks Marriott on April 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Registration and Silent Auction Preview will take place from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Auction items include jewelry, family fun events in southern Maine, gift cards to local restaurants, an overnight stay on Chebeague Island and much, much more.

SARSSM has several professionally trained male and female Crisis & Support Line advocates answering calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Advocates respond to calls from victim/survivors, family members, friends, significant others, and professionals working with those impacted by sexual violence. Volunteer advocates provide information, referrals, advocacy, and support to individuals reporting incidents of sexual assault. SARSSM continues to emphasize education and community involvement to end sexual violence. SARSSM is one of nine rape crisis centers that are all members of the Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MECASA).
