Stop me if you've heard this one before....

There's gonna be a storm.

It's going to approach from the west, making it an "inside runner."

It's going to have at least some sleet and rain mixed in.

And, at the end of the day, it's gonna be a 4/10 on the weenie scale:

Before we get to that storm, we've got a quiet night tonight and a pretty decent Wednesday as well.

It's not until 10 PM - 1 AM Wednesday night that the system moves in. It'll start as snow everywhere:

Like most of our storms this year, that "front end thump" will be the best part of the storm. Bringing some decent snowfall rates into the early morning on Thursday and through the morning commute. We might be able to put down 1" an hour for a short period of time.

.

It's basically an open wave storm, however, so it's progressive and quick moving. There will be some sleet and rain mixing at the end along the coastal plain, but I'm not sure it really matters because the moisture is pretty much gone by then.

Most of us will be cleared out by the afternoon.

Totals look like this:

There's another storm cooking for Sunday that will likely be a messy mix of rain and snow.

And next week...it's possible a larger storm lurks. But that's way out there, and I'm way out there. So let's leave it for now.

Carson Out.
