Caribou seeing higher than average snowfall

The city gets an annual average of 108 inches of snowfall. This winter, it has already seen over 116 inches.

CARIBOU, Maine — People in “The County” are no strangers to lots of snow. However, this winter season has brought exceptionally heavy snowfall.

By the morning of February 13, 2019, the city of Caribou had seen over 116 inches of snow. That is already well ahead of its average annual snowfall of 108 inches.

Caribou also had its snowiest January on record, getting 59.8 inches of snow during the month.
