2. ALABAMA'S ABORTION BILL
The governor of Alabama has signed what many are calling the most restrictive abortion law in the country. The legislation bans all abortions in the state except when "abortion is necessary in order to prevent a serious health risk" to the woman, according to the bill's text. It criminalizes the procedure, reclassifying abortion as a class a felony, punishable by up to 99 years in prison for doctors.
3. DRAG QUEEN BOOK READING STEMS DEBATE
The owner of the Children's Book Cellar in Waterville is planning a special event during the 2019 Central Maine Pride Festival weekend. She's hosting a 'Drag Queen Story Hour' in which a person dressed in drag would have a reading. while many are praising the owner, Ellen Richmond, there are some also speaking out against the event.
4. MACKIN FOUND GUILTY
Jessee Mackin was in court Wednesday and was found guilty of manslaughter. Mackin's conviction comes from the May 2015 death of 6-month-old Larry Lord Jr., who was the son of Mackin's girlfriend. His sentencing is scheduled for next month.

French adventurer Jean-Jacques Savin just completed his journey alone in the middle of the Atlantic ocean in a makeshift barrel. He had no controls and no internet, just radio and paper to write on.
