PORTLAND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — A group focused on making Greater Portland a better place to live has come up with a 10-year plan to make it happen.

Thrive 2027 is made up of CEOs, community leaders and volunteers from Cumberland County and beyond.

At a launch party on Tuesday, the group presented three measurable goals members believe can be achieved within the next decade.

The goals include improvements in education, financial stability and health care.

The United way is partnering with Thrive 2027 to help recruit more volunteers to support the effort.

Organizers say these goals are too big for any one person to tackle, but together, they are highly attainable.
