QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC (NEWS CENTER) -- A ten-year-old from Bar Harbor got the chance of a lifetime, to play guitar on stage with Pearl Jam.
Sarah Keeley said her son Noah, has always loved Pearl Jam. He especially likes the song "Sad." Once she knew the family was going to the Quebec City show, she sent a request to the band to play Noah's favorite song.
Hoping the request would be fulfilled, Sarah said the family, "ended up right up on the rail, center stage," a prime concert watching spot.
What happened next, she called, "surreal."
"Noah was dancing and singing and having the time of his life. He had his sign taped on the rail: 1st Show: "Sad" Makes Me Happy, said Sarah. "Then after "Lightning Bolt," Eddie came over towards us and crouched down and invited Noah to come up to play the next song."
Sarah said Noah even took lead guitar at one point in the song. That did not go unnoticed by the band.
Eddie passed Noah down to us and it was a very emotional exchange with someone whose music has meant so much to us," said Sarah. "I believe Eddie said, "Noah, you're a bad ass. That took a lot of guts; that was awesome."
"It is an honor and a treasured gift for us to have had this experience."
