SANFORD, Maine — Maine's 2020 winter season has been kind of a roller coaster. On one of the days we were seeing warmer temperatures, Aleta Mackenzie of Sanford thought she'd take her horse, Cooper, out for a ride.
Here's the thing—she took him through downtown Sanford—and people noticed.

Aleta did say she should be wearing a helmet.
But if you see someone in a high-traffic area riding their horse, the only horsing around allowed is from the actual horse. Be respectful when driving by!
