ROCKLAND, Maine — On May 30, 1979, 17 people died when a small commercial airplane crashed on approach to Knox County Airport.
This is the story of John McCafferty the lone survivor, who crawled from the wreckage and laid in the woods for an hour before being rescued.
He survived serious injuries and still battles anxiety from being the lone survivor.
