Navy SEALs raise $125K for Camp Sunshine

RAYMOND, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — Three Navy SEALS were joined by a member of the US Coast Guard on July 5 for a circumnavigation of Sebago Lake. They covered a little more than 40 miles, biking 25, running more than 10, swimming two-and-a-half and kayaking four.

“When you’re helping somebody else out, that service, if we all do that, I think our country will always be great,” said SEAL and Maine native Mike Wisecup.

Camp Sunshine provides retreats enabling hope and promoting joy for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. The No Man Left Behind Challenge helps fund visits to the camp for children in military families.

Camp Sunshine has provided retreats to chronically ill children and their families since 1984.
