BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The Bangor Mall Cinemas really did it up for the premiere of the new Star Wars Movie. Plenty of people showed up in costume, many toting light sabers. Some were dressed up as cast member from the movies, others from the books. There were people from star wars clubs. Vendors from BAM and Snow Con, which is a Gaming Convention.

The fan favorite had to be the Droid R2D2. He's the creation of Paul Bussiere from Orrington who is a member of the R2 Builders Club. His R2 looks just like the real thing and can move, swivel his head around and make beeping sounds. The kids loved him.

"He's cool," explained Thomas Harling "because he's a robot and he moves his head!"

Bussiere, who built the R2D2 replica takes him around to area hospitals to put smiles on the faces of sick children. He say's he's invested about 10 thousand dollars into his R2 unit but says it's all worth it.
