Young local Folk Festival performer is ready to play

"I am stoked," said LaCase. "I can't put it into words. I have been coming here since I was 10… it's surreal."

BANGOR (NEWS CENTER Maine) —The four stages are set up and it is just about time for the American Folk Festival to begin as it takes over the Bangor waterfront for the 13th year.

The star of the festival is of course music.

Among the artists from around the world who'll be performing, Maine's own 17-year-old Gus La-Cass of Trenton. He'll be joined by guitarist Eamon Sefton to perform on the stage he loves.

“I am stoked,” said LaCase. “I can’t put it into words. I have been coming here since I was 10… it’s surreal.”

We met up with Gus on Thursday and got a sample of his hard-driving traditional folk music.
