The announcement comes on the heels of the release of Ringo’s 20th studio record, What’s My Name.

Ringo Starr plays as part of a concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of Woodstock in Bethel, N.Y., Friday, Aug. 16, 2019. Tie-dyed pilgrims and white-haired Woodstock festival veterans converged at the generation-defining site to celebrate its 50th anniversary, while Arlo Guthrie came back to sing — what else? — "The Times They Are a-Changin'." The one and only Ring Starr is returning to Bangor. Promoters announced details for a new North American tour this week, which includes a June 9, 2020 performance at Bangor’s Cross Insurance Center.

The concert also includes multi-Grammy Award nominated Americana legends, The Avett Brothers as the opening act and his current All Starr Band featuring Steve Lukather (Toto), Colin Hay (Men at Work), Gregg Rolie (Santana), Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth), and Hamish Stuart (Average White Band).

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 15, 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com and the Venue Box Office.

Cross Insurance Center General Manager, Anthony Vail said, "The City of Bangor, Spectra and the Cross Insurance Center are pleased to have the return of the Ringo Starr and His All Starr Band to Central Maine. Having a legendary performer and a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer such as Ringo, along with multi-Grammy Award-nominated band The Avett Brothers co-headlining, will make this a can’t miss show for the City of Bangor."

Organizers say the announcement comes on the heels of the release of Ringo’s 20th studio record, What’s My Name. The title track is a rousing anthem written by a returning All Starr Band member, Colin Hay, that turns a familiar chant from Ringo’s live shows into a rousing rocker sure to be a future crowd-pleaser.
