(NEWS CENTER Maine) — A 20-year-old guitarist from Ogunquit got quite the surprise Wednesday when her cover submission was chosen by iconic rock band Aerosmith and posted to the group's social media pages.

Alivia Lorusso's rendition of 1975 classic "Walk This Way" was shared to all 17.8 million followers of Aerosmith's Facebook and Instagram accounts as part of the band's #AerosmithCovers series, and had racked up a combined 82,000 views as of late Wednesday night.

The Wells High School grad, who describes herself as a blues and rock 'n' roll artist on Instagram/Twitter, shared Aerosmith's version of the video to her musician Facebook page, writing "This is UNREAL! Thank you so much Aerosmith!! You have no idea how much this band means to me."

Lorusso's Facebook page and YouTube page have several other videos of her playing some of classic rock's best tunes and her own original jams.

According to Seacoast Online, Lorusso started playing the guitar at age 10 and used the money she got at graduation to buy a Gibson Les Paul.

Aerosmith formed in 1970 when Steven Tyler's Chain Reaction and Joe Perry's Jam Band combined forces in Boston. The rest is history. Still active nearly 50 years later, Aerosmith is one of the best-selling rock bands of all time.

Tyler's daughter Liv Tyler, a well-known actress, briefly attended Waynflete School in Portland as a child.
