BANGOR, Maine — Carly D’Eon is a NEWS CENTER Maine general assignment reporter based in our Bangor newsroom.
Carly hails from Peabody, Massachusetts, graduating from Emerson College where she earned a B.S. in Journalism and minored in Psychology. One of her most memorable experiences at Emerson was traveling to Atlanta to cover events leading up to Super Bowl LIII.
After completing an internship at WCVB-TV/Channel 5 in Boston, she continued working at the station as a part-time writer until she was hired as a producer at NEWS CENTER Maine in March of 2020, right as the COVID pandemic began. While she enjoyed her time working behind the scenes, she is excited to connect with Mainers firsthand now telling their stories on-air and online.
Growing up, Maine was an annual vacation spot, her most favorite place to visit being Rangeley. When she’s not working, Carly enjoys spending time with friends and family exploring all that Maine has to offer.
