PORTLAND, Maine — Jack Molmud joined NEWS CENTER Maine in Portland as a multiskilled journalist in 2022.
He was born in central California and raised in Silicon Valley.
He has started as a producer-in-residence at CBS 8 San Diego and as a photographer at KARE 11 in Minneapolis.
He graduated from San Diego State University in 2020 before making his way to the East Coast.
He covers climate, law enforcement, education and fishing. With fond memories fishing off the California coast, he channels the same energy into his curiosity in reporting.
Jack has been recognized for his education coverage in the past, including a yearlong investigation into his alma matter’s fraternity misconduct.
Before reporting, Jack was a competitive swimmer and water polo coach. He lives in Portland with his fiancée Alex and cat, Dory.
