Suspect arrested for armed robbery of Gorham Domino's Pizza

Gorham Police say that there appeared to only be one male involved. The suspect did not display a handgun but did have his hand underneath his sweatshirt.

UPDATE: Police in Gorham say they arrested 36-year-old Nathan Allen for allegedly robbing Domino's Pizza on Friday night. Allen was arrested Saturday at his home on Veranda Street in Portland. Police say Allen has not been linked to the recent string of robberies in the greater Portland area.

GORHAM (NEWS CENTER Maine)-- The Domino's Pizza at 621 Lower Main Street in Gorham was the target of the eleventh armed robbery in the Greater Portland area in the last month.

Gorham Police say the incident happened at about 11:35 pm on Saturday and appeared to involve one male. The suspect did not display a handgun, but did have his hand underneath his sweatshirt. He left business on foot with an undisclosed amount of money and got into a vehicle adjacent to the business and headed in the direction of Westbrook.

The suspect was described as being approximately 5'7", 150 lbs, and was wearing jeans, gray boxers, and a gray sweatshirt.

This incident comes a day after a Westbrook gas station was robbed at gunpoint on Friday night. Detailed surveillance video of that robbery has been released to the public by Westbrook Police.

Since March 20th, 11 armed robberies or attempted armed robberies have taken place in Greater Portland, with one happening in Old Orchard Beach. Police are still unable to confirm if all of them are connected, but do say the robberies are similar in nature.
