Get ready for a clash of the seasons!
Friday is actually looking really nice. We'll have a mix of sun and clouds and mild temperatures. Highs will reach the mid to upper 50s in most spots. A few cities or towns could flirt with 60 later today.
The bigger story this weekend will be the return of winter-like conditions. This is a tricky forecast. Some rain moves in during Friday night and into early Saturday. Colder air will move back in, especially for northern parts of the state into Saturday. We're looking at rain or snow showers into the afternoon. Some sleet is possible, too.
Sunday will see much of the same, with a mix of rain or snow. Some sleet may mix in as well, with areas of freezing rain a possibility. It's hard to get freezing rain this time of year, but I'd watch for a few slick spots, if you need to travel.
Some areas of freezing rain are possible early Monday, too. We will see even more rain heading into Monday, especially during the afternoon and late part of the day. We could possibly see 1-2 inches of rain into Tuesday. Some cities or towns could near 3 inches of rain from this event. Some flooding may be a problem, especially with the heavy rain falling on top of the melting snow.
The next "nice" day will be Wednesday, with a partly sunny sky and temps returning to the 50s!
