Some snow still on the way | CORY'S BLOG

Early spring snow will still move in late Wednesday into Thursday. Highest accumulation near the coast and Downeast.

Let's usher in the new season with a little bit of snow, shall we?

Snow is still in the forecast, and areas along the coast and through Downeast Maine will see the highest accumulation. This will be a manageable, but a plowable snow for most of these areas. We're looking at anywhere between 3 to 6 inches of snow into Thursday.

The National Weather Service has winter weather advisories in place for areas shaded in purple into Thursday. The Thursday morning commute will probably be slick. Plan accordingly!

As of now, the mountains and foothills will most likely miss out on any snow accumulation. If anything, an inch or less is possible.

Here's the timeline for you.

OVERNIGHT: Snow should begin to move in from the south into southern Maine. Everyone else should stay quiet at this time.

THURSDAY MORNING: Snow should be falling closest to the coast. This could make for a slippery and slick morning commute. Be careful!

THURSDAY AFTERNOON: Snow should continue along the coast. The mountains and the foothills will probably miss out on this. Still can't rule out a few snow showers, but dry air will heavily impact this.

THURSDAY EVENING: Snow should continue for parts of Downeast, while the rest of the coast should see the snow start to taper. The evening commute may still be slick as well.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Most of the snow should be out of the state. There may be a few lingering snow showers in far Eastern Maine at this time.

*There still could be some tweaks to this forecast. Be sure to stay with us through the duration of this event.*

Have a great day!

Cory
