After the thaw and snowmelt, we are back to talking about more snow for Wednesday. Although the snow will be a plowable event, this is something we are definitely used to and can manage.
Here's a breakdown of the timing of when we will see the flakes fly:
LATE TUESDAY/EVENING: Snow will begin to move in. Most of this will be confined to the southwest. Everyone else should stay dry at this time.
WEDNESDAY MORNING: It's looking like a snowy morning commute for many as the snow will continue to spread over much of the state. The snow will now start to extend into Central Maine.
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON: Most of the state should continue to see snow. Most accumulation being near the coast, with lighter totals as you head inland.
WEDNESDAY EVENING: Snow should already be wrapping up off to the south, and into Central Maine. Still some snow northeast. Will probably see tricky and slick conditions for the evening commute.
TOTALS: In general 3-6 inches closer to the coast. As you head inland, we are looking at a general 1-3 inches. A nuisance, but definitely manageable.
Have a great day!
