Finally a solid weekend | GUTNER BLOG

Quiet times for the upcoming weekend but a messy storm is possible early next week

We've had really bad luck with weekend weather lately. Back to back weekends with record cold to end last year and start the new one. Following that, one of the most epic thaws we've seen in recent years obliterated the snowpack to ruin last weekend.

I'm happy to pass along that this weekend's weather won't inhibit you from having some outdoor fun. So take advantage of the fresh snow and get out there!

Looking ahead, the next storm to worry about arrives Monday night and departs Tuesday evening. This storm is currently smashing ashore into the Pacific Northwest, so we don't have a real good grasp on it yet. But enough cold air will be present Monday night and Tuesday morning for snow.

It does appear that a transition to rain will occur, but it is unclear on the timing of that flip. At this point, the commute Tuesday morning looks dicey. We'll iron out the details in the days to come. Until then, enjoy your weekend!
