SANFORD (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- It was a last minute call, but one the Sanford police department was happy to answer.
Sanford's honor guard is carrying the colors at the AFC Championship game. This is the second time this year that the department has been asked to attend a Patriots game.
"It's an honor," says officer Matthew Gagne, "The last timme we were out there it was so loud we could barely hear anything. We are proud to be going back to represent Maine."
Officers from Sanford will lead honor guards from the five other New England states onto the field before the national anthem.
