Visitor's guide to Mall of America

The Mall of America can be daunting. Here's your cheat sheet.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - If you're visiting the Twin Cities from out of town, chances are the Mall of America is on your list of stops.

Great choice! But, in case you haven't heard, it's a pretty big mall. So we've put together a little cheat sheet of all the things you might want to know before you go.

First things first: Here's all the info you could ask for about hours, transportation and parking. That includes extended Super Bowl hours: Jan. 26-Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Feb. 1-Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Feb. 4 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Feb. 5 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Once you get inside, though, you've entered a whole new world. You could spend weeks in there — seriously. But since you likely only have a day, or a few hours, we can help with this guide of 11 Mall of America must-dos. (Spoiler alert: It includes some really huge lego creations, a celebrity bakery, and a two-level go-cart track.)

And if you're looking to experience solely Super Bowl-themed activities at the mall, don't worry. We've got a list for that, too.

Finally, the Mall of America is featuring a bunch of awesome Minnesota-made products through Feb. 9, to give Super Bowl crowds the chance to support local artisans. Check out all the vendors here — and then go take a look yourself!
