Cheverus earns first place crown at Class A boys swim states

ORONO (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- The Class A boys swimming state meet took over the pool at UMaine in Orono on Saturday.

In the men's 200 medley relay, the Bangor team of Prouty, Prouty, Campbell, and Carlson bested the state record they set last year with a time of 1:37.33.

The Cheverus Stags were kings of the water. Cheverus earned its sixth straight top team title with 328 points. Bangor was not too far behind with 250 points, and rounding out the top three, the Brunswick Dragons with 174 points.
