KITTERY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — This week's Maine Education Association Inspiring Educator is Sally Sullivan. She has dedicated 55 years of her life to education, working for the Kittery school district the entire length of her career.
With her 80th birthday just a few weeks away, Sullivan says this school year will be her final year in the classroom. She currently works as an ed tech at Traip Academy. This is her first year working with high school level students.
Sullivan says one of the best parts about working in the district so long is getting to watch her students grow up and then sometimes teaching her former students children.
Sullivan says she does look forward to retirement but says she is certainly going to miss her daily interactions with the kids.
