BANGOR (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- We're getting back to basics in this segment of Buddy to Buddy. Breast cancer survivor Amy Lord says her message for all women is to do their monthly breast self-exams.
Six months after getting a mammogram, Amy accidentally found a lump in her breast that turned out to be stage-3 cancer. She says she hopes other women learn from her experience, and start to check their breasts monthly rather than relying on yearly or biyearly mammograms alone.
