MEDELLIN, Colombia (NBC News/Kurt Chirbas and Richie Duchon) — A plane carrying 81 passengers and crew, including a Brazilian soccer team, has crashed near Medellin, Colombia.

At least six survivors have been found, according to Colombian authorities.

The plane, which was en route to Medellin from Bolivia, was carrying members of the Brazilian soccer club Chapecoense.

The plane went down around 10:00 p.m. local time.

Medellin firefighters and police were responding to the crash site, according to authorities.
