WESTBROOK (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- Within minutes of being alerted to a robbery at a Pratt Abbott laundromat in Westbrook, police had a woman in custody.

Their suspect was 29-year-old Shana Capecea, described by police as a transient.

Police said she carried a knife into the laundromat at 434 Main St. and then ran off with the money she demanded from the attendant.

It only took police a few minutes after their arrival on the scene at 11:21 a.m. on Wednesday to locate Capecea on Oak Street and outrun her. The arresting officers said Capecea was found to be carrying the cash from the laundromat as they packed her off for booking.
