VASSALBORO, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Three people were taken into custody in Vassalboro Wednesday afternoon as part of a drug sale investigation in Kennebec County.

According to Maine Public Safety spokesperson Steve McCausland, Maine Drug Enforcement Agents and Augusta Police went to Vassalboro to arrest 33-year-old Sarah Fuschwanz on aggravated drug trafficking charges stemming from an investigation involving heroin sales.

Police found Fuschwanz driving away from her home with two passengers. They say they found 80 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of heroin, 10 grams of powdered cocaine and suboxone inside her car and on the occupants after stopping her, all totaling $10,000 in street value. They also found $3,250 in cash, according to police.

Fuschwanz and Andre Fields, 51, of Bronx, New York was charged with two counts of aggravated drug trafficking. Police say Fields is a convicted felon. Fuschwanz was also charged with two counts of violation of conditions release and two separate additional counts of trafficking based on the earlier investigation.

Tania Murphy, 33, of Hallowell, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

The three were transported to the Kennebec County Jail.
