FREEDOM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A 16 year-old driver got herself in a bit of a pickle after she backed into a utility pole support wire.

Police say the young driver was trying to back into a driveway but misjudged getting her 2003 Ford Focus in almost a vertical position as it rested on its front bumper Thursday afternoon around 4:30 p.m.

Police helped the young girl out of her car on Ayer Ridge road and luckily she was fine.

Freedom Fire and Rescue helped until Central Maine Power was able to inspect the pole and support wire. The car was towed off the support wire.
