EDDINGTON (NEWS CENTER Maine) -- Fire departments from seven communities were called to a home on Meadow Lane in Eddington Tuesday night.
When firefighters were first called to the fire there was a report that someone was trapped inside the home, but Eddington Fire Chief Jim Ellis said they found everyone outside when they arrived.
The department’s worked together to shuttle water down the small road to the home. Crews also battled cold temperatures and the water turning to ice under their feet while fighting the fire.
Power was shut off to the area and part of Route 178 was closed down for a bit while firefighters were setting up.
Chief Ellis says no one was injured.
