LEBANON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- State police say a school bus driver failed to stop at a stop sign Tuesday morning, colliding with a car.

State police spokesman Steve McCausland says a 9-year-old child and an adult were being transported at the time. There were no injuries on the bus, but the driver of the car, 20-year-old John Izzarelli of Lebanon was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

80-year-old Roberta Sanborn of Lebanon was driving the school bus, according to state police. She failed to stop at an intersection on Center Road around 7:45 a.m.

Sanborn was not cited.
